Alex Prugh earns PGA TOUR card for 2018-19 season

Alex Prugh of Spokane, Wash. is headed back to the PGA TOUR.

The 33-year-old Prugh, who last played in a PGA TOUR event in 2016, finished 18th on the Web.com Tour regular season money list, earning one of 25 tour cards given to the top money leaders.

Prugh, a star amateur, won the 2004 Washington State Men’s Amateur Championship, the 2005 Pacific Coast Amateur, and played on the University of Washington men’s golf team garnering two All Pac-10 Team selections (2005-06) before graduating in 2007.

His older brother Corey played for the Huskies from 2000-04, and his father Steve is the PGA Professional at Spokane’s Manito Golf & Country Club who was inducted into the Pacific Northwest Section PGA Hall of Fame in 2015.
