An Open Letter of Thanks for Making the Evans Cup of Washington a Success

Thank you to those who attended the 25th Annual Evans Cup of Washington at TPC Snoqualmie Ridge on Monday, September 26. It was wonderful to spend the day with so many close supporters of the Evans Scholars Program in Washington, and your generosity helped set a record for funds raised from this event.

Evans Cup of WA

This is a very exciting time for the Evans Scholars Foundation. This fall, there are a record 935 Evans Scholars enrolled in 20 leading universities nationwide, including 15 who are from Washington or are attending school in Washington. Thanks to your great support, the program is well on its way to achieving its goal of having at least 1,000 Evans Scholars in school, living together in-community, each year by 2020.

The ongoing support will be critical as the program continues to grow in Washington. The foundation has been working hard to establish a Scholarship House at the University of Washington, and they are very close to making that dream a reality. Evans Scholars maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA and a 95 percent graduation rate. These deserving young men and women are taking full advantage of the opportunity they have been given, and everyone is excited to soon be offering community living to Evans Scholars at the University of Washington for the first time.

The Evans Cup of Washington helps to make a difference in the lives of deserving young caddies in Washington and around the country.

Without wonderful supporters like you, the program would not be able to grow. Thank you again for your great support of our Evans Scholars, and we’ll see you next year!
