Kent, Wash. – Kylee Choi of Murrieta, Calif. shot rounds of 74-71 to earn medalist honors over the 40-player field who competed in U.S. Women’s Open qualifying today at Meridian Valley Country Club in Kent, Wash.
Choi, just 15 years old, is currently ranked 25th in the AJGA Rankings. She claimed the lone qualifying spot in this 36-hole qualifier.
Choi will now advance to the 77th U.S. Women’s Open Championship, which will take place at Pine Needles Lodge & Golf Club June 2-5 in Southern Pines, N.C.

Lauren Kim of Canada is the first alternate from this qualifier, while Jacqueline Bendrick of Mercer Island, Wash. claimed the second alternate.
Washington Golf (WA Golf) is the local representative of the United States Golf Association (USGA) and conducted this qualifier for the 2022 U.S. Women’s Open Championship.
To be eligible, golfers must have a Handicap Index of 2.4 or less, or be a professional.
