Former Seattle Seahawks running back Randall Morris has always wanted to do more for the community, and this fall will host the 14th Annual Randall Morris Celebrity Golf Invitational on September 14 at Fairwood Golf and Country Club in Renton, Wash.
Morris arrived in Seattle in 1984 as a 10th-round draft choice of the Seahawks from the University of Tennessee. After finishing his playing career, Randall never left the Seattle area because he felt like it was a great place to raise a family. He had courted and married Amanda Howell early in his career, and their son, Trey, is now quarterback at Lewis & Clark College in Portland.
The Randall Morris Foundation for Youth & Families was created to support youth, families and communities throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Many of Randall’s friends from the NFL, NBA, MLB, entertainment and music world help him with his annual celebrity golf tournament, because it’s all about raising funds for the community and families in need.
This year, nestled around beautiful confers, the tournament will be held at Fairwood Golf & Country Club. The course offers excellent conditions with smooth, fast greens and a great place to play. Fairwood has earned the reputation for having some of the purest putting surfaces in western Washington, and when coupled with varying hole designs which require a range of shots, players will often use every club in their bag throughout the 18 holes.
Among the prizes during the tournament, two winners from the raffle will win an all-expense paid trip to Loomis Trail Golf Club in Blaine, Wash. to play a scramble match for the “Too Hard to Handle”* Invitational. The trip includes overnight accommodations at Silver Reef Casino, dinner with Randall and another special celebrity guest, practice round of golf, a dozen golf balls, the tournament round, and the “Too Hard to Handle” trophy. (*“Too Hard to Handle” was Morris’ nickname while playing for the Seahawks.)
Everyone is invited to play, so join us for a remarkable round of golf and a day of fun at Fairwood on September 14. It’s a great way to enjoy a great sport and help the community at the same time. The mission of the Randall Morris Foundation is to support youth, families, and communities by providing financial support and scholarships for youth. The foundation also supports organizations that promote relationships through their activities between parents and children.
The Randall Morris Foundation for Youth & Families is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
