WA Golf Championship Season Kicks Off with 16th Annual Champion of Champions

DuPont, Wash. – The 2025 WA Golf championship season launches on Thursday, April 24, at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. with the start of the 16th Annual Washington Champion of Champions. The championship features a full field of 156 club champions from across WA Golf territory in four divisions: Women, Men, Senior Women, and Senior Men. 

This two-day stroke play event takes place April 24-25, starting daily at 7:30 a.m. from both the No. 1 and No. 10 tees.

All four champions from the 2024 Champion of Champions will be in the field this year to defend their titles – Mitch Baldridge of Tacoma for the Men’s, Kennedy Knox of Normandy Park for the Women’s, Tom Brandes of Bellevue for the Senior Men’s, and Leslie Folsom of Tukwila for the Senior Women’s 

To be eligible to compete in the Champion of Champions, a player must meet at least one of the following criteria: 

Men’s and Senior Men’s Eligibility Requirements 

  • Club Champion of a WA Golf Member Club (2023or 2024) 
  • Past Champion of the Men’s Champion of Champions (2020-2024) 
  • Past Champion of Senior Men’s Champion of Champions (2020-2024) 
  • Champion of a WA Golf Championship; excluding Parent-Child and Mixed Chapman Championships (2024) 
  • Champion of any event on the WA Golf Men’s Performance Points List (2024) 
  • Champion of any event on the WA Golf Senior Men’s Performance Points List (2024) 
  • Top-10 on the WA Golf Men’s Performance Points List (2024) 
  • Top-10 on the WA Golf Men’s Mid-Amateur Performance Points List (2024) 
  • Top-5 on the WA Golf Senior Men’s Performance Points List (2024) 
  • Top-5 on the WJGA Boys’ Performance Points List (2024) 
  • WJGA State Junior Boys Champion (2024) 

Age: No age requirements for Men’s Championship. Players in the Senior Men’s Championship must have reached their 55th birthday by April 24, 2025. 

Women’s and Senior Women’s Eligibility Requirements 

  • Club Champion of a WA Golf Member Club (2023or 2024) 
  • Past Champion of the Women’s Champion of Champions (2020-2024) 
  • Past Champion of Senior Women’s Champion of Champions (2020-2024)

Age: No age requirements for Women’s Championship. Players in the Senior Women’s Championship must have reached their 50th birthday by April 24, 2025. 

The Champion of Champions is one of 14 championships conducted annually by WA Golf.
