The duo of Walker and Bass started on the first hole and got off to a fairly pedestrian start, shooting a 1-over 37 on the front nine before catching fire on the back nine and firing a 4-under 33 to close the round.

Defending and three time champions (2014, 2017, 2019) [Kelly Gardner](https://wagolf.org/news/tag/kelly-gardner/) of Gig Harbor and [Kim Titus](https://wagolf.org/news/tag/kim-titus/) of Fox Island sit just one off the pace heading into Tuesday’s final round.

In the Net portion of the event, Gardner and Titus hold a one-shot lead over [Cindy Minor](https://wagolf.org/news/tag/cindy-minor/) and [Lisa Van Dam](https://wagolf.org/news/tag/lisa-van-dam/), both of Seattle.

The format for the Women’s Four-Ball is 36-hole stroke play (gross and net). The field is divided into flights based on team handicap.

Last year, the championship was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Washington Women’s Four-Ball is one of 14 championships conducted annually by WA Golf.
