DuPont, Wash. – The 17th Annual Washington Champion of Champions concluded today at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. The championship included a full field of club champions from across WA Golf territory, competing in four divisions: Women’s, Senior Women’s, Men, and Senior Men’s.
Cienna Lee of Lacey and Daniel Berlin of Seattle won the Women’s and Men’s titles, respectively, while Kim Shek of Bellevue and Mike Kennedy of North Vancouver, B.C. respectively won the Senior Women’s and Senior Men’s championships.

In the Women’s division, Lee, 16, claimed her second consecutive title in this championship with rounds of 68-69, finishing at 7-under-par, 11 strokes ahead of Carly Ikei (Gig Harbor) and Tatum Otto (Bellevue). Lee’s margin of victory is tied for the largest ever in the women’s division, matching that of both 2016 and 2013. Entering the round with a three-shot lead, Lee played simple, steady golf en route to victory in moderate winds, recording four birdies to be the only Women’s player to post an under-par round.
Cienna Lee
“I’ve been coming here since I was little,” said Lee, whose hometown is a 15-minute drive from DuPont. “It has a special place in my heart.”
Lee is one of the world’s most established junior golfers and is No. 53 in the Rolex AJGA Rankings. Last July, she won the AJGA Salt Lake Junior.
Berlin began his Friday three shots adrift of Colten Kleis, who opened with a stellar 63. Berlin birdied his first two holes and eventually made the turn in 32. He carded another birdie on the 10th, bogeyed the 12th, and eventually teed off 18 needing a par to clinch a victory. His tee shot went right and found the bunker directly beside the driving range, but two shots later, he managed to leave himself a short putt, which he sank.
Daniel Berlin
“I was just trying to continue to make birdies and keep the foot on the gas,” Berlin said, making sure to compliment his competitors. “Had a few hiccups but capitalized on the opportunities I had.”
Berlin plays out of Sahalee Golf Club in Sammamish and won its club championship in 2025. He is originally from Cleveland and moved to Seattle for work after graduating from Duke University in North Carolina.
After recording a first-round 80, Kim Shek entered Friday 8-over par. But as if playing a different golf course, Shek shot a five-birdie round that eventually resulted in a 3-under 69, earning her a playoff spot against first-round leader Tina Papatolis. Playing on hole No. 1, Shek bested Papatolis with a birdie, earning her first victory in the Champion of Champions.
Kim Shek
“I’ve been trying this for four years,” said Shek, who has twice won the Washington Senior Women’s Amateur. “Today was just a good putting round.”
Shek was named 2025 WA Golf Senior Women’s Player of the Year, an honor she’s held each year since 2022.
Mike Kennedy ascended to the top of the Senior Men’s leaderboard with an extraordinary round. Entering the final day three strokes behind the lead, Kennedy shot an 8-under par 64 – his age – to win his second WA Golf title in his first competitive rounds at The Home Course. Kennedy had 8 birdies and was bogey-free, and his final tally of 6-under par was two strokes better than his friend and fellow Canadian, first-round leader Neil MacLeod.
Mike Kennedy
“I hit a lot of good putts, hit the ball solid,” Kennedy said after the round. “I wasn’t watching any leaderboards, just enjoyed the round and kept a clean sheet.”
Kennedy is a member of the men’s club at Lake Padden Golf Course in Bellingham. His spot this week was earned by his co-victory in the 2025 Washington Senior Men’s Four-Ball, which he won alongside MacLeod. The two made the trip from B.C. together and went home as 1-2 finishers.
The Champion of Champions is one of 14 championships conducted annually by WA Golf.
The championship is hosted annually at The Home Course, which is cooperatively owned and operated by WA Golf and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association.
