The first round of the 11th Annual WA Golf Champion of Champions will tee off on Thursday, October 1 at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash.
The championship will be played over 36 holes of stroke play on October 1-2. This year’s field consists of 106 champions from around the state of Washington and Northern Idaho, competing in four divisions – Men, Senior Men, Women and Senior Women. It is hosted annually at The Home Course, which is cooperatively owned and operated by Washington Golf and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association.

This championship is typically held at the beginning of each golf season, but due to COVID-19 health and safety recommendations, this year’s championship was postponed until October 1-2.
In the Men’s division, past champions in the field include defending champion Nathan Cogswell of Kent, who also earlier this summer won the Northwest Open Invitational, playing against the region’s PGA club professionals; Jake Koppenberg of Bellingham (2016); and Bjorn Bjorke of Port Orchard (2009).
Past champions in the field for the Senior Men’s division include four-time champion Tom Brandes of Bellevue (2012, 2016, 2017, 2018); Keith Crimp of Ellensburg (2013, 2014); and Pete Higgins of Mercer Island (2015).
In the Women’s division, defending champion Victoria Fallgren is back again this year; as is two-time champion Sarah Lawrence of Duvall (2016, 2018).
Past champions in the field for the Senior Women’s division include defending champion Beth Wrigley of Spokane; Leslie Folsom of Tukwila (2018), who also twice won the Women’s Championship (2014, 2015); Gretchen Klein of Hoquiam (2017); Karen Madison of Spokane Valley (2015); and Denise Kieffer of University Place who previously won the Women's Championship (2009).
To be eligible to compete in the Champion of Champions, a player must meet at least one of the following criteria:
Men's and Senior Men's Eligibility Requirements
Age: No age requirements for Men’s Championship. Players in the Senior Men’s Championship must have reached their fifty-fifth birthday by October 1, 2020.
Women's and Senior Women's Eligibility Requirements
Age: No age requirements for Women’s Championship. Players in the Senior Women’s Championship must have reached their fiftieth birthday by October 1, 2020.
