Troy Andrew
CEO/Executive Director
Troy grew up working and playing golf at Oakbrook G&CC in Lakewood, Wash. He is a graduate of Central Washington University and he spent several summers working on the maintenance crew at Oakbrook to help pay for school.
Troy started working for the Associations in 1999 when he was hired as the Director of Rules and Competition. After seven years in the Championship Department, he became the Director of Communications until 2007, when he was named Assistant Executive Director. In 2011, Troy was named CEO/Executive Director of the Associations and The Home Course.
Troy is a proud husband and a father of two boys. When he isn't working, he is with his family and he is hopeful to get them out on the golf course more.

Heather Wilson
Controller
Heather joined the Association in May 2014 excited to work with a sports organization that promotes the positive impact of athletics beyond the scorecard. Being involved in a variety of sports throughout her life has provided her with incredible experiences, a network of lasting relationships and a college education, both of which are part of the foundation for her life today. She is not a technical expert on the rules of the golf, but plays with family and friends to know the value of the game for its life lessons and personal benefits.
Heather’s principle role is to manage the business matters of the association utilizing her accounting degree from Boise State University (Go Broncos!) and successful work experience managing the human resources and finances of many non-profit organizations and services.

Marie Hasegawa
Office Administrator
Marie joined the WA Golf staff in 2021. A Washington native, she grew up in the West Seattle area with her parents and six siblings. She has been married to her awesome husband, Dean, for 34 years. Family means the world to Marie, and although she and her husband don't have kids of their own, the two remain close and stay busy with their large extended family.

Shari Jacobson

Director of Membership
& Club Relations
Shari joined the staff in March 2012. She is responsible for the growth and sustainability of the Club Representative Program, as well as the enhancement of our communications with the Club Representatives and our member clubs and facilities. She works closely with the activities of the Membership Services Department, and served as the Director of Championship Operations for the 2014 U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links which was held at The Home Course. Previously, Shari worked at a golf club as the event coordinator, and the club became like a second family (luckily her own family loves golf!).

Collin Westwood

Handicapping & Course Rating
Collin started working at the Association in September 2015. Before that he worked at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. for eight years as the golf shop manager. With The Home Course being owned and operated by the Association, he had worked with the staff numerous times during championships and other events held at the course. With all of the experience working with the great people on staff, he knew it was a place he wanted to work.

Torrin Westwood

Torrin grew up in Port Hadlock, Wash. and has been around golf all his life, with his father being a golf course superintendent. He graduated from Washington State University in 2013 with a degree in Strategic Communication. He served an internship at the American Junior Golf Association, then in the Marketing Dept. at WSU Athletics. Torrin came to the Association as a USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern in May 2014, and was initially hired to the full time staff in the Championship Department, before moving to Membership & Club Relations in 2016.

Audrey Orem

Operations
Audrey has been a competitor in the Association’s championships for over five years and is excited to join the team and help grow the game. She attended Western Washington University where she played on the women’s golf team, serving as co-captain her senior year, and graduated with a degree in communication studies. She started in the sports field as a marketing intern for Western’s athletic department. Her dad taught her to play when she expressed an interest in joining her high school golf team.

Nate began working in golf administration after graduating from the University of Minnesota in 2013 and spending a year as a USGA P.J. Boatwright Intern with the New York State Golf Association. In his free time you can find him out on the golf course, somewhere getting far too emotionally invested in Gopher sports, or outdoors exploring the Great Northwest.

Eric Sjogren, PGA

Eric was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington. He earned a degree in marketing with an emphasis in PGA Professional Golf Management from the University of Idaho in 2017. Eric worked for several years at Bend Golf Club (Bend, Ore.) and Royal Oaks Country Club (Vancouver, Wash.) before joining WA Golf staff in the spring of 2022. In his free time, he attends as many sporting events as he can and enjoys staying active with his wife, Cara.

Kiselya Salcedo

Give some background on yourself:
I grew up in the small, but wonderful, town of Cortez, Colorado. I moved to Ogden, Utah after high school to attend Weber State University where I played on the women's golf team. I loved my time on the golf team there and at the university. I also met my husband in Ogden and we were married in 2021. We have an adorable dog named Monti and we are thrilled to be living in Washington!
What’s your favorite thing about golf and how did you become interested in the golf industry?
Golf has been a huge part of my life since I was young. My favorite thing about golf is how it brings people together. Not only has it been a huge part of my family's life, but the friends I have made through the sport are very dear to me. I also love the competition and challenge it presents. I have been playing competitive golf since I was 7 years old. I have played at the national and collegiate level and have been working in the golf industry since 2016. I worked for the Utah Section PGA for 5 years, helping run their junior golf program. That is where my passion for helping the game grow and flourish began, and I look forward to continuing that here.
Who would be the three other players in your dream foursome?
My dream foursome would probably be Arnold Palmer, Seve Ballesteros and my dad.

Joe Hayford

Give some background on yourself:
I was born in Southern California but grew up in Spokane, WA. I graduated from Seattle University in 2021 and currently, I am single and have owned my cat, Ava, since 2018.
What made you interested in working in the golf industry? What are you excited about learning/doing in this position?
I have been passionate about golf since childhood, and working in the game that I have loved my whole life is a dream come true. I am excited to be a part of the WA Golf Championship team and have an impact on the tournaments that I have played in the past.
What are some of your favorite activities or hobbies that you like to do outside of work?
My hobbies outside of work include hiking, spending time with friends and family, wake surfing, and traveling.
Who would be the other three players in your Dream Foursome?
My dream foursome would be my father, Tiger Woods, Max Homa, and myself. It would be a dream come true to play with the person who got me into golf along with my all-time favorite professional golfer and my current favorite.

Tom Cade

Tom started working for the Association in November of 2006. He got into the game at age 13 when he started working as a caddie at Sahalee Country Club. He returned to the Pacific Northwest in the late 1990s, and started managing some golf events, and that's how he got back into the golf industry.

Marilyn Esguerra
Director of Marketing
Marilyn’s job as the marketing director is to shine the best light on Washington Golf. A longtime Seattleite, she has played design and marketing roles for publishers and ad agencies in the Puget Sound area. She enjoys road trips, the outdoors and exploring new places and rediscovering favorites, especially when with her husband and two daughters. She has a Chi-Jack named Frida.

Vinny Fiorino

Working in sports has been a passion of Vinny’s his entire life, so much so that he received an undergraduate degree in sport management from Gonzaga University in 2016. Growing up in Tacoma, Wash., he first learned the game from his dad and has been fortunate enough to play golf for most of his life.

Give some background on yourself:
I was born in Bellevue but grew up in Spokane. I graduated from Washington State University in May 2021 with a degree in strategic communication. While at school, I discovered my passion for content creation and sports through the student newspaper, The Daily Evergreen. Since then, I have been working as a freelance sports photographer.
What made you interested in working in the golf industry? What are you excited about learning/doing in this position?
Although golf was always present in my family, it was never a sport I played outside of mini-golf. Recently, however, I have developed a newfound appreciation for the game and fallen in love with it. I am thrilled to be part of an organization that aims to spread the joy of the sport and am excited to learn more about it.
What are some of your favorite activities or hobbies that you like to do outside of work?
Photography is my mainstay hobby throughout the year. I have also recently picked up bouldering, although my fear of heights and falling has been a slight hindrance. Wherever I go, you can usually find me with my camera!

Jeff is a Midwest native, having grown up in Indiana and graduated from Ball State University. He credits his love of golf to his father who picked up the game later in life and was active in the men's club at Windy Hill Country Club in their hometown of Greencastle, Ind. As the sales director, Jeff steers advertising and sponsorship sales with a wide variety of clients. He has over 25 years of business development experience, having worked at America Online, iVillage, Netscape, and most recently The Seattle Times.

Alex Gilley

Give some background on yourself:
I grew up on the west side of Portland in Oregon near Beaverton. I just graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Political Science in March of this year. I have two dogs at home in Portland, Adley, who is an English Cream Retriever, and Murphy, who is a Mini Aussie.
What’s your favorite thing about golf, have you worked in the golf industry before or how did you become interested in working in golf?
I have played, been around, and watched golf for as long as I can remember. I grew up doing a bunch of golf-related activities with my grandpa, who was involved in the golf industry. I worked for my local golf club in Portland (Rock Creek Country Club) throughout high school. I worked in outside services and in the pro shop, where I helped with tournaments during my last summer there. I love sports and being involved with them, whether it is playing, watching, or helping administer them, so I thought this would be a great opportunity to be involved professionally.
What are some of your favorite activities or hobbies that you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I enjoy playing golf and basketball, as well as watching almost any sport. I spend time hanging out with friends and family when I can. I enjoy cooking in general as well as BBQ-ing with my dad.
Who would be the other three players in your dream golf foursome?
For my dream foursome, I have two scenarios. The first would be with JT, Jordan Spieth, and Rory. The other would be with Tiger, Phil, and my grandpa.
Evans Caddie Scholarship Program

Todd Melrose
Evans Scholarship – Vice President, Development
Todd Melrose is the vice president of development for the Western Golf Association and Evans Scholars Foundation. He graduated in 2004 from the University of Oregon. Now based in Portland, Todd’s role is to grow the caddie programs in the region, promoting the use of caddies and support the Evans Scholars Foundation’s efforts to award full tuition and housing college scholarships to hardworking caddies with limited financial means. Since 1930, the Evans Scholars Foundation has awarded over 11,800 scholarships, and currently has over 1,100 scholars in 22 partner Universities across the country.
