Folsom and Harris Cruise to Victory at the WSGA Women’s Best-Ball Championship
Yakima, Wash. (May 25, 2010) – Leslie Folsom and Jane Harris, both of Seattle, Wash. began the final round with a 3-stroke lead and cruised to a 7 stroke victory at Yakima Country Club in Yakima, Wash. after a final round 2-under par 70, giving them a two day total of 6-under par 138.
Folsom and Harris have teamed up to win this championship 6 out of 11 times (’00, ’01, ’02, ’07, ’08, ‘10) and have finished runner-up at least one other time in 2009. Folsom and Harris made birdies today on holes 3, 8, and 13 with a lone bogey on the par-3 15th hole.
Finishing in second place after carding a final round of 3-over par 75 was Kim Titus of Gig Harbor, Wash. and Kristy Whitcher of Belfair, Wash. who finished with a 36-hole total of 3-over par 147.
