Tom Brandes of Bellevue, Wash. shot 3-under-par 68 during the 18-hole qualifier to earn medalist honors in qualifying for the 2015 U.S. Senior Amateur Championship, which will be held Sept. 26-Oct. 1 at Hidden Creek Golf Club in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
The qualifier was held at the RMG Club at Oakbrook in Lakewood, Wash. The Washington State Golf Association (WSGA) is the local representative of the United States Golf Association (USGA) and conducted this qualifier for the U.S. Senior Amateur Championship.

Along with Brandes, also qualifying for the championship proper were Dan Meyers of Oro Valley, Ariz. and Doug Roxburgh of Vancouver, B.C.
For Brandes, this is the third time he will play in the U.S. Senior Amateur, having previously qualified for the championship in 2011 and 2014.
Brandes has been named the WSGA Senior Men’s Player of the Year for five consecutive years (2010-2014). Both he and Roxburgh are members of the Pacific Northwest Golf Hall of Fame.
The U.S. Senior Amateur is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the USGA, 10 of which are strictly for amateurs.
