Former WSGA Player of the Year Berg finishes second at PGA Asst Championship

PGA Assistant Professional Derek Berg of Sahalee Country Club finished a solo second in the 41st Assistant PGA Professional Championship.

The Championship was hosted by PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla. for the 21st consecutive year.

Berg was named the WSGA Men’s Player of the Year of the year in 2009 and finished runner-up at the Washington State Men’s Amateur that same year.
