Olivia Benzin of Tacoma, Wash. has earned a spot in this week’s LPGA Cambia Portland Classic, hosted by Columbia Edgewater Country Club in Portland, Ore.
Benzin clinched her place in the field by surviving the tournament’s Monday 18-hole Open Qualifier, shooting a 3-over-par 75 to secure one of two remaining spots in the field.
Earlier this year, Benzin captured the Washington State Women’s Amateur Championship and won her fourth consecutive Washington State Women’s Golf Association (WSWGA) state title. She is a rising senior on the Oregon State University women’s golf team.
