Orondo, Wash. – The 15th Washington Men’s Mid-Amateur Championship is being held July 23-25 at Desert Canyon Golf Resort in Orondo, Wash. The 54-hole stroke-play championship is being conducted by Washington Golf (WA Golf).
The first tee time for the first round is 7:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, with all groups starting on the first tee.

Players to watch for in the strong championship field include:
- Spencer Ellis (Wenatchee) – Defending champion returns in attempt to repeat.
- Reid Hatley (Hayden Lake, Idaho) – Two-time winner of this championship (2016, 2018). Hatley has been named the WA Golf Men’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year six times.
- Erik Hanson (Kirkland) – Won this title in 2019, and twice finished in second place (2010, 2015).
- Jacob Koppenberg (Bellingham) – Won this title in 2021, and was named the 2023 WA Golf Men’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year.
To be eligible, contestants must be 25 years of age or older by July 23, 2024. Competitors must have an active GHIN number and USGA Handicap Index issued by a WA Golf member club not exceeding 9.9 at the time of entry.
