Therese Warner advances to match play at U.S. Women's Amateur

Therese Warner of Kennewick, Wash. shot rounds of 74-76 in stroke-play qualifying to advance to the match-play portion of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship, taking place this week at Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Md.

Warner made it into a playoff after Wednesday’s final qualifying round, and parred the second hole of the playoff to secure her spot in match-play. There were 15 competitors in the playoff, vying for the final six spots.
