A young man from South Korea named Taehyoun is in need of a host family starting in August. Taehyoun, whose English name is Joshua, really enjoys golf and would love to play while he is here. He does not yet have a specific school to attend, but has specifically requested to live in beautiful Washington state.
He will be a 10th grader during his exchange year. He is a sporty guy and also likes baseball, basketball, and bowling. He plays piano and flute. Taehyeon will come with his own health insurance and spending money. He can attend the host’s local high school.
Perhaps you or someone you know would like to host Taehyeon for one semester or the school year?
Founded in 1947, the Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE) is the oldest foreign exchange company in the U.S. and is a non-profit. Each year it helps about 1,000 students find hosts and attend school in the U.S. for a semester or school year across 49 states. The U.S. Department of State authorizes the visas. CIEE also has outbound exchange programs for high school and college students.
CIEE is an authorized exchange agency approved by CSIEST, which is the list that public schools use to determine which agencies are legitimate and allowed to enroll students in schools.
Throughout the school year, local coordinators support the student and host family on a monthly basis.
