Club Spotlight: Spokane Area Women's Golf Association (SAWGA)


The Spokane Area Women’s Golf Association (SAWGA) is an organization with the purpose of promoting the best interests of golf among its members and providing for inter-club tournaments and other contests. Individual membership in SAWGA is limited to women 18 years of age and older whose home club is a member of SAWGA, and who hold a current USGA handicap.

SAWGA was officially organized in 1962, making it a well-established entity in the golfing community for over 60 years. The organization has seen numerous presidents and leaders over the years, each contributing to the development and sustenance of women’s golf in the Spokane area. Notable events and achievements of its members, such as winning tournaments and championships, have been documented and celebrated throughout its history.
