Duan, a recent graduate of the University of Washington where she played on the women’s golf team, had won the 2020 Washington Women’s Amateur and was named the 2020 WA Golf Women’s Player of the Year.

In April of this year, Duan won the Washington Women’s Champion of Champions. She then graduated from the UW, completing her collegiate career, and turned professional. The Northwest Women’s Open is her first win as a professional.

Earning honors as Low Amateur in the Northwest Women’s Open was Brittany Kwon of Bremerton, who finished third overall, three shots back of Duan. Kwon, a rising junior on the UW women’s golf team, finished second in the Washington Women’s Amateur, held last month at Fairwood Golf and Country Club. Kwon is a three-time WA Golf Junior Girls’ Player of the Year (2016-2018).
