DuPont, Wash. – The 13th Washington Champion of Champions concluded play today at The Home Course in DuPont, Wash. This year’s field consisted of 152 champions from around the state of Washington and Northern Idaho, competing in four divisions – Men, Senior Men, Women and Senior Women.
Jordan Lee of Auburn won the Men’s title, Kennedy Knox of Normandy Park, Wash. won the Women’s, Tom Brandes of Bellevue won the Senior Men’s and Gretchen Klein of Hoquiam won the Senior Women’s.

Jordan Lee shot rounds of 71-70 to finish at 8-under par for the championship, one shot ahead of Spencer Clapp of Renton and Johnny Carey of Seattle.
This is the first WA Golf title for Lee who earned a spot by finishing in the top-10 on the 2021 WA Golf Men’s Performance Points List. Lee finished runner-up in the 2021 Washington Men’s Amateur and runner-up in the 2021 PNGA Men’s Amateur.

Kennedy Knox won the Women’s division after firing rounds of 70-68 to finish at 5-under par for the championship, one shot ahead of two-time champion Sarah Lawrence of Monroe.
Knox is the reigning WA Golf Women’s Player of the Year and Washington Women’s Amateur champion. She is currently in her freshman season as a member of the University of Washington women’s golf team.

Tom Brandes won the Senior Men’s division by shooting rounds of 71-68 to finish at 5-under par for the championship, one stroke ahead of Olympia’s Tom Herrick. Brandes and Herrick were tied going into the final hole and Brandes sealed the victory with a birdie on No. 18.
This is the sixth title in this championship for Brandes, having also won in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021. Eleven times he has been named WA Golf’s Senior Men’s Player of the Year.

Gretchen Klein shot rounds of 77-76 to finish at 9-over for the championship, winning the Senior Women’s division by five shots over Kim Titus of Fox Island. This marks the second time that Klein has won this championship, her first in five years.
Klein has played in every Champions of Champions since the inaugural year in 2009. She earned her way into this year’s championship by winning the 2021 Grays Harbor Country Club Ladies Club Championship.
The Champion of Champions is one of 14 championships conducted annually by WA Golf.
The championship is hosted annually at The Home Course, which is cooperatively owned and operated by WA Golf and the Pacific Northwest Golf Association.
