Amateur Nathan Cogswell of Kent, Wash. shot rounds of 68-66 to win the Northwest Open Invitational by one stroke over PGA Professional David Phay of Oak Harbor, Wash. who finished second.
Cogswell is a junior at Seattle University and this marks his first PNW PGA win. He won the 2019 Washington Men’s Champion of Champions and finished fourth at last week’s Washington Men’s Amateur.
The championship was held this week, August 17-18 at Wine Valley Golf Club in Walla Walla, Wash. and was conducted by the Pacific Northwest Section PGA. For more information, please visit pnwpga.com.
