Eric Lohman, who won the 1993 Washington Men’s Amateur, was named president of the Southern California PGA during the Section’s Annual Meeting on December 12, 2022 at Newport Beach Country Club. Lohman will serve for two years as president and chairman of the board.
Lohman has served on the SoCal PGA Section board for several years, and since 2012 has been the general manager of Monarch Beach Golf Links in Newport Beach, Calif.
In 1993, Lohman won the Washington Men’s Amateur, held that year at Longview (Wash.) Country Club.
Lohman played collegiately at UCLA, and has been a PGA member since 2000. He has twice qualified for the PGA Professional Championship (2014, 2015), and in 2017 was named the SoCal Section’s Golf Professional of the Year and also received the 2017 Bill Strausbaugh Award, recognizing his work for career development of PGA professionals.
