Rules Question of the Week – August 5, 2020

In stroke play, before making a stroke in the general area, a player lifts a rock lying next to their ball. The rock has broken away from a nearby wall.

What is the ruling?

  1. There is no penalty (CORRECT)
  2. There is a one-stroke penalty
  3. The player gets the general penalty
