TPC Snoqualmie Ridge Sweeps the Men's and Women's WSGA Member Club Team

Roslyn, Washington (Wednesday June 2, 2010) – Both the Men’s and Women’s teams from TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge were victorious at the 5th Annual WSGA Member Club Team Championship held on the Prospector Course at Suncadia Resort in Roslyn, Wash.

In the Men’s Championship, team members Rob Bringardner, Mike Duckham, Hani Imam, and Larry Geist of TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge came from behind in the final round to knock off returning champions and first round leaders Chris Bae, Vince Caluori, Fred Johnson, and Charles Schmidt also of TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge. The winners posted a final round team total of 201 bringing their two day total to 398. The were lead by Duckham’s 1-under par 71 gross score and Bringardner’s 1-under par 71 net score. Bae won his second consecutive low gross individual honor with an impressive two day total of 6-under par 138.

In the Women’s Championship, the defending champions Diana Chow, Kim Ponti, Molly Grossi, and Roberta Smith of TPC at Snoqualmie Ridge came from 11 shots behind to win by 1 stroke over the team of Cathy Uptain, Julie Waxham, Sandy Weinhardt, and Tina Forster of Mill Creek Country Club. The champions shot a final round 210 to follow up their opening round 222 for a two-day total of 432 led by Chow’s 14-over par 86 gross score and Smith’s 7-over par 79 net score. Uptain won low gross individual honors with a 36-hole total of 17-over par 161. Kellie Molzhon of Riverbend Golf Complex won the low net individual competition with a two day total of 2-under par 142.

The championship format calls for each four-person team to be from the same WSGA member club and consist of either all men or women. This is a 36-hole stroke play competition, with each team counting one gross score and two net scores per hole for the team total each day. The WSGA will also award the low net and low gross individuals in the field.
