WA Golf Events Canceled through May 31

Due to the continued uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the Golf Restart COVID-19 Requirements and Regulations announced on Monday by Governor Jay Inslee, WA Golf has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel all events through May 31, 2020.

While there is still a great deal of uncertainty, the safety and well-being of our members, volunteers and staff is of the utmost importance to us. The cancelations will include the 2020 Women’s Four-Ball Championship at Rainier Golf and Country Club, and the 2020 Men’s and Senior Men’s Four-Ball Championship at Inglewood Golf Club.

Additionally, the Casual Golf Day scheduled for Monday, May 18, 2020 at The Plateau Club has been canceled.

Golf is widely seen as an activity that is viable and relatively low risk, however there are additional precautions that need to be in place to ensure the safety of players, staff, club/course officials and volunteers that do not allow for a championship to be properly conducted.

We will continue to evaluate our schedule and provide you with updates on any additional changes as soon as they are available. Thank you for your understanding and support of this decision.
