3rd Annual Net Four-Ball Match Play tournament heads to Gamble Sands for Final Weekend

The final weekend of the 3rd Annual WA Golf Net Four-Ball Match Play tournament is set to take place October 6-8, at Gamble Sands in Brewster, Wash. The event, which began earlier this spring, featured both Men’s and Women’s fields broken up into four divisions each.

The tournament kicked off with Pod Play, where teams within each division were grouped into pods of four. These teams competed against each other in a Net Four-Ball match play format. The top two teams from each pod, with the best records, advanced to the single-elimination bracket stage.

Teams received their matchups at the beginning of each round and were responsible for scheduling and playing their matches at a course and time of their choice. Each winning team would report their match results and move down the bracket in a March Madness-like format.

After nearly six-months of competition, only eight men’s and eight women’s teams remain. The quarterfinal matches will take place on Friday, and the winners will advance to the Semifinals on Saturday, with the Final matches to follow on Sunday.
