Bob Conrad of Clyde Hill, Wash. and Jacob Rohde of Everett, Wash. each shot 1-under 71 to earn co-medalist honors at U.S. Mid-Amateur qualifying at Port Ludlow (Wash.) Golf Club. They are the only two players to advance from this qualifier, and will now go on to compete in the 2017 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, which will be held October 7-12 at Capital City Club in Atlanta, Ga.

The Washington State Golf Association (WSGA) is the local representative of the United States Golf Association (USGA) and conducted this qualifier for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.
Click here for complete hole-by-hole scores of all players at the Port Ludlow qualifier. Rohde birdied two of his final three holes to break from a pack of four other players who were tied at 1-over. Rohde and Conrad were the only two players to break par over the 6,708-yard layout. Conrad is a former player on the University of Washington men’s golf team, graduating in 1996. He competed professionally on the Nationwide (now Web.com) Tour, before regaining his amateur status. For Rohde, this is the third consecutive U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship he has qualified for. The U.S. Mid-Amateur is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the USGA, 10 of which are strictly for amateurs. The WSGA serves as a statewide representative of the USGA and works closely with a number of allied associations within the golf industry for the betterment of the game.
