The Golf Alliance of Washington has delivered a letter to the Governor’s office this morning urging him to consider how golf can be part of the solution to bringing Washington and Washingtonians back to a good state of well-being once the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order is lifted.
In short, the letter details the many benefits of golf to an individual’s physical and mental health as well as the industry’s contributions to the economic fitness of the state. The Alliance also lists the many precautions and modifications golf courses have taken to ensure the safety of staff and golfers and to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
We are hopeful that our recommendation will be received positively and that golf will be resumed immediately after May 4th. We will keep you posted on any new developments.
Be Safe – Stay Positive,
Troy Andrew
CEO/Executive Director of Washington Golf
