Rainier Golf & Country Club in Seattle is hosting the 21st Washington Women’s Four-Ball Championship this week, with the championship being conducted by Washington Golf (WA Golf).
The two-day championship is being held May 17-18, and includes many of the top women amateur golfers from Washington and Northern Idaho.
Highlighting the field this year is the team of Kelly Gardner of Gig Harbor and Kim Titus of Fox Island, who are the defending champions, and have won this championship three times (2014, 2017, 2019).
Also in the field is the team of Jane Harris and Leslie Folsom, both of Tukwila, who have won this championship an astonishing eight times. Folsom has won this championship an additional two times, playing with other partners.
The format for the Women’s Four-Ball is 36-hole stroke play (gross and net). The field will be divided into flights based on team handicap.
Last year, the championship was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Washington Women’s Four-Ball is one of 14 championships conducted annually by WA Golf.
