The Pacific Northwest Section PGA is conducting its fourth annual 100-Hole Marathon for charity, April 22-May 20, 2024.
On May 7, the PNW PGA team took the challenge to complete 100 holes of golf at Meadow Park Golf Course in Tacoma, raising money to benefit the charities of their choice. More than 34 teams throughout the Northwest participated.
One of our PGA Professionals, Chas Holmes, jogged and walked 100 holes of golf at his home club of Bear Creek Country Club. This feat was accomplished in 12 hours with a total distance jogged/walked of 31 miles. The fastest 18 holes were done in 1 hour and 35 minutes with a score of 76 from 6,560 yards! This fundraiser raised nearly $5,000 for the Multiple Myeloma (blood cancer) Research Foundation.
Many more similar stories exist throughout our Western WA Chapter in their effort to serve the community and grow the game we all love.

This year, the Section joined forces with PNW PGA Professionals in the Oregon Chapter to promote the CCA Golf for Joy Challenge. The CCA Golf for Joy Challenge will take place at Pumpkin Ridge GC (Witch Hollow) on May 20, 2024. All proceeds from the CCA Golf for Joy Challenge support the Children’s Cancer Association. At this one-day golf challenge on the exclusive golf course, you’ll have a chance to see how many rounds of golf you can do while enjoying food, music, drinks, all while raising critical funds for JoyRx.
