Sequim, Wash. - Father-son duo of Todd and Justin Johnson of Renton shot 8-under-par 64 to win the 2026 Washington Parent-Child Chapman, held today at The Cedars at Dungeness in Sequim, Wash. The victory marks the second time the duo has won this championship, previously winning it in 2024. Last year, they won the championship’s Net title.

Playing in a Chapman format, the Johnson duo went bogey-free through their 18-hole day, carding six birdies on their first nine and two on their second.
Last year, the Johnsons won the championship’s Net title.
Finishing second, two shots back of the Johnsons, was the father-son team of Colt and Gary Sherrill of Maple Valley, Wash. Colt had been named the 2018 WJGA Player of the Year, played four years on the men’s golf team at the University of Idaho, was runner-up in the 2022 PNGA Men’s Amateur, and briefly turned pro in 2023 before recently regaining his amateur status.

Winning the overall Net title was the father-son team of Sean and Seth Nordberg of Bellevue, scoring an 8-under 64 and winning in a scorecard playoff over the team of Aaron and Billy Jacobs.
Hailey and Arnel Blancas of Montesano won the Flight 1 Net title, scoring a 7-under 65.
The 18-hole championship was played in a Chapman stroke play format, with two players playing as partners, each playing from the teeing ground and each player playing his or her partner’s ball for the second shot. After the second shot, including par-3 holes, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and then play that ball alternately to complete the hole.
The Parent-Child is one of 14 championships conducted annually by Washington Golf.
