Nestled in the foothills of the Snoqualmie National Forest lies Mount Si Golf Course, home of the Mount Si Ladies Club.
With 114 members and counting, the Mount Si Ladies Club offers events and weekly competitions on Tuesdays throughout the year beginning in March and running all the way up until the middle of October.
Not only do they offer a fun and competitive atmosphere for full rounds of golf, but they also have their very own “Chicks with Sticks,” instructional clinics in which only women are allowed to go and learn about the game of golf as well as get lessons from other women. They also offer various summer socials after their shotgun events.
A unique aspect to the Mount Si Ladies Club is they host events to help raise money for charitable causes. Recently, they hosted a 2-day Greater Seattle Women’s Public Golf Association tournament. The event attracted 80 women golfers from around the area, and this year the Ladies club added hole sponsors to the event which helped raise over $3,000 for a non-profit music support group for underserved youth, as well as for Mount Si Junior Golf.
In May, the Mount Si Ladies Club also utilized a GSWPGA event to raise funds for the Acres of Diamonds, helping mothers and their children rebuild their lives.
The Mount Si Ladies Club is able to utilize its participation in the GSWPGA and WSWPLA organizations to show its commitment to charity, which illustrates the significant value that golf brings to its community – even at the local club level.
The Mount Si Ladies Club offers a friendly environment for all. The members are always supportive of new golfers and are willing to help teach them about the game. The beautiful scenery at Mount Si Golf Course is the perfect destination for locals to hang out, play golf, and enjoy the tasty food at the club’s restaurant.
