Rohde and Hatley Co-Medal at U.S. Mid-Amateur Qualifying at Aldarra

Jacob Rohde of Everett, Wash. and Reid Hatley of Hayden Lake, Idaho both shot rounds of 1-over par 71 today at Aldarra Golf Club to earn co-medalist honors in qualifying for the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, which will be held September 10-15, 2016 at Stonewall Links in Elverson, Pa.

The other two players to advance from this qualifier are Kevin Beavers of Seattle and Derek Lee of Snoqualmie, Wash., both of whom earned their spots in a playoff. No player in the 78-man field broke par on the challenging par-70 layout.

Today's qualifier was held at Aldarra Golf Club in Sammamish, Wash. The Washington State Golf Association (WSGA) is the local representative of the United States Golf Association (USGA) and conducted this qualifier for the U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship.

Rohde also was co-medalist in qualifying for last year's U.S. Mid-Amateur. Hatley also qualified for last year's U.S. Mid-Amateur, making it to the Round of 32, on his way to being named the 2015 WSGA Men's Mid-Amateur Player of the Year.

The U.S. Mid-Amateur is one of 13 national championships conducted annually by the USGA, 10 of which are strictly for amateurs.
