After more than six-months of competition, the Third Annual WA Golf Net Four-Ball Match Play tournament officially concluded this weekend, October 6-8, 2023, with the playing of the Final Weekend at Gamble Sands in Brewster, Wash.

In the final match in the Women’s field, the team of Kathleen Paulson (Issaquah) and Cindi Kenner (Sammamish) defeated Kristy Little (Yakima) and Roxcie Dills (Yakima) by a score of 6&5. Paulson and Kenner were finalists from the Ruth Jessen region of the tournament, while Little and Dills were the winners of the Paige Mackenzie region.
Paulson and Kenner are both members of the Mount Si Women’s Club, and the duo met each other while playing golf at Mount Si Golf Course. Including Pod Play matches, Paulson and Kenner went 8-0 during this year’s tournament.

In the final match in the Men’s field, the duo of Ben Garza (Othello) and Vince Gonzalez (Pasco) won a tightly contested match in 22 holes over Jake Zingler (Wausau, Wis.) and Jack Hartley (Spicer, Min.). Garza and Gonzalez were finalists from the Joel Dahmen region, while Zingler and Hartley were the winners of the Fred Couples region.
Garza and Gonzalez are first cousins and good friends. Garza plays out of Othello Golf Club and Gonzalez is a member of Sun Willows Golf Course. Including Pod Play matches, the duo went 9-1 during this year’s tournament.
