Moses Lake, Wash. – The 29th Washington Women’s Amateur, 13th Women’s Mid-Amateur, 23rd Senior Women’s and 9th Super Senior Women’s Amateur Championships are being held this week at Moses Lake (Wash.) Golf Club.
The Women’s Amateur and Mid-Amateur championships will be contested over 54 holes of stroke play on June 20-22, while the Senior and Super Senior championships consist of 36 holes of stroke play on June 20-21.
The four championships will be conducted by Washington Golf (WA Golf).

The Washington Women’s Amateur is the state’s premier amateur championship for women, and traditionally draws the region’s best players. Some of the players to watch this year include:
- Kennedy Knox of Normandy Park: Defending Women’s Amateur champion; 2021 WA Golf Women’s and Junior Girls’ Player of the Year; 2021 PNGA Junior Girls’ Player of the Year; rising sophomore on the University of Washington women’s golf team
- Lauryn Nguyen of Seattle: Rising sophomore on the Northwestern University women’s golf team; 2022 Big Ten Freshman of the Year; 2020 WA Golf Junior Girls’ Player of the Year
- Cassie Kim of Yakima: rising senior on the Gonzaga University women’s golf team; runner-up at the 2021 PNGA Women’s Amateur
- Darcy Habgood of Pullman: Recently finished her senior year on the Washington State University women’s golf team; finished T9 at 2022 Pac-12 Championships
- Taylor Mularski of Spokane: Qualified for this year’s U.S. Girls’ Junior Championship

- Jacqueline Bendrick of Mercer Island: Defending Washington Women’s Mid-Amateur champion; 2021 WA Golf Women’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year
- Victoria Fallgren of Spokane: Three-time champion of the Washington Women’s Mid-Amateur (2017, 2018, 2020); 3-time WA Golf Women’s Mid-Amateur Player of the Year (2017, 2018, 2020), assistant coach for Gonzaga University women’s golf team
- Marianne Li of Bellevue: 2016 Washington Women’s Amateur Champion; 2016 WA Golf Women’s Player of the Year
In the Senior Women’s Amateur field:
- Sue Craven of Snohomish: Defending Washington Senior Women’s Amateur champion; 2021 WA Golf Senior Women’s Player of the Year; qualified for 2021 U.S. Senior Women’s Amateur Championship
- Leslie Folsom of Tukwila: Two-time champion (2018, 2020); 2019 PNGA Senior Women’s, three-time WA Golf Senior Women’s Player of the Year (2018, 2019, 2020)
